Our story began five years ago, when Salum was working at another property. Thanks to Khadija, who introduced us to this wonderful person, a bond was born that goes far beyond work. From that day on, Salum became part of the Villa Peace and Color family, becoming one of the faces that best represent our idea of hospitality.

Always smiling, helpful, and attentive to every need, he is the point of reference for our guests. With his simplicity and big heart, he manages to make everyone feel right at home, turning a holiday into a memory that lasts over time.

But it is in front of the grill that Salum expresses all his passion. With experience and love, he prepares the best that the ocean of Zanzibar has to offer: fresh fish, lobsters, slipper lobsters, and jumbo prawns, enhancing their authentic flavors with perfect cooking. Our story began eight years ago, when we were staying at another B&B where she worked. From that moment on, a sincere friendship was born, built on trust, respect, and shared values.

When the dream of Villa Peace and Color was born, we had no doubt: we wanted Khadija to be part of our family. She believed in our project from day one and decided to embark on this wonderful adventure with us.

Thanks to her experience, training, and tireless dedication, she has become the backbone of our property. That is why we proudly entrusted her with the role of Manager.

One day my mom and dad asked me a question I will always carry in my heart:

“Martina, would you like to share the Villa Peace and Color project with us and the people we love?”

My answer was immediate: yes, with all my heart.

I grew up in Africa, and this wonderful land taught me values I will carry forever: respect, sharing, gratitude, and the joy of giving without expecting anything in return.

That is why I chose to be part of Villa Peace and Color. It is not just a guest house, but a life project about hospitality, love, and solidarity.

Every day I am proud to share this dream with my family. Together, we take care of our guests, our staff, and the people living in nearby villages. Every week we bring food, clothes, and essential supplies, but above all, we try to bring smiles, hope, and closeness.

I deeply believe that every gesture, even the smallest one, can change someone's day. And that is the exact spirit of Villa Peace and Color: to make everyone feel welcomed, loved, and part of a big family.
